Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary: Spread over a sprawling area of around 131 sq. km., this Wildlife Sanctuary located in the northern region of Western Ghats is perfect for wildlife safaris and tours. Well suited for nature lovers and ecologists, it is an abode of wild animals like wild boar, hyena, leopards, sambar and the famous giant flying squirrel known as 'Shekru'. This place offers a plethora of treks of varying heights and difficulty-levels to trekkers. The 'Chas Kaman Dam', one of the very important hydel projects in the country is also located amidst the picturesque settings of this sanctuary.

The temple attracts a footfall of thousands of devotees during the festival of Maha Shivratri. Built during the 13th century in Indo-Aryan and Nagra styles of architecture, the temple draws the attention of many history buffs too. The picturesque views of the surrounding forests, rivers and forts, also make the temple an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers.

4. Mokshakund Tirtha: Located at a distance of around 500 meters from the Bhimashankar Temple, the place is home to a sacred 'kund' or pond where sage Kaushik helped his disciple, Ruchik get salvation by bathing in the holy waters of the pond.

5. Hanuman Lake: It is a scenic picnic spot in Bhimashankar that is frequented by many couples and families to spend a lovely evening.
